I have a Logitech WheelMouse optic USB mouse. The problem I am having is my computer half the time does not detect it.
I am useing the USB to PS/2 connector and it seems to work flawless. Any ideas?
I have a MicroStar MSI 6167 with AMD classic 600mhz. This is my frist USB and from what I have learn I am not buying any more USB crap.

You will find the problem stems from the motherboard chipset. I gather your board runs on a VIA chipset? Have you installed the VIA USB Filter for your Operating System? This solves a lot of the problems. Also check with Logitech for updated drivers.
FYI I am using a MS IntelliMouse Explorer on USB on a VIA chipset with no problems at all.
