    Modem IRQ

Is there a way in Win XP Pro to force a modem to use a specific IRQ. Customer has a system and when the modem is loaded it goes to IRQ12, now the only thing the modem is used for is faxing and according to the people at WinFax, it need to be on a lower IRQ. However the manual settings option is greyed out on the modem resources page?

Set it in the bios? Many PC's will let you set IRQ's in the bios, turn off plug and play OS and set it.

Put the modem in a different pci slot. If you can't change it in bios.

Is this an older version of winfax? Older versions required an actual physical com port such as com 1 through 4 and IRQ's according
Get me a soldering iron and some duct tape, and I'll see what I can do.
