cool max cd-309 won't work with WD drive
i purchased a coolmax cd-309 external usb 2.0 3.5" drive enclosure and it works great and looks nice also, HOWEVER....
i have one drive, a wd200bb-32clb0 that it refuses to work with. when i power up the drive, the led indicator goes green for a few seconds, then goes orange (meaning it is being accessed) and never goes back to green (green means power). every other drive i have just goes green and stays.
i have re-partitioned it, fdisked it, formatted it...all to no avail.
it should work as fat32, but won't.
all other drives (and i mean all...some real old clunkers even work!) work except this one.
just wondering if any ideas or anyone had the same issue.
coolmax website is no help.
i have the drive set as "single or master" and have tried all other jumper settings...same result.
the drive works fine if i plug it into any computer as the slave.
any ideas??
