The thing that sticks out most in my mind, is the way Arnold handled it vs the way Clinton handled it.
Arnold said he WAS wrong in the past in his actions and that he was sorry. No matter whether he meant it or not, it was better than Bill with his "I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman"

Personally, IMHO, I think Clinton took a bad rap for all that. He wasn't the first president to have an affair in the 'oval' office but unfortunately he was the first president to be caught. And if it hadn't been part of a dirty tricks conspiracy, he wouldn't have.

IF we got rid of all the presidents who'd had affairs in the 20th century, we'd have to get rid of Harding, FDR, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Bush the 1st, and Clinton. And those are the ones that I know about.....

I think you would agree that most of those presidents made positive improvements to our country.

Give it a break guys, aren't we playing 'holier than thou..' when we talk about the president's affair....

Well I've never cheated, not even in high school. I can honestly say that. Does that make me holier than thou? You be the judge of that.

I am more pissed off that he lied to a grand jury, and to the American public about the affair, and so much more!!! So what he had an affair, that wasn't the bad part, it was the constant snowing!

And now you are admitiing the whole blow job thing pissed you off, well they shouldn't have been wasting MY tax money to investigate what the president does to relax and insure that he has a clear head to do his important and demanding job. Too bad, there are so many out there like yourself that only see the world in black and white, don't understand that people actually have faults, and worse have given the president so much power while expecting them to be above fault, above human emotion and feelings and failings. You and your sentiments keep feeding the machine of hatred and divisivness known as the conservative right, the puppet masters of Fox and talk radio feed off of your shames and inadequacies(sp). So upset at how pathetically small and insignificant you are, you lash out at those that do have some power and ability to change the world, but invariably you will sooner destroy all hope and chance for anyone to ever make a difference at anything with your pent up prejudices at all that is not you.

Or, I could just be rambling.

What you are saying is that the President, the Commander in Chief, can’t be held to a very high set of moral standards, or be held accountable for his actions!?! I expect him to make rational decisions. I do expect him to be human yes, but he can’t be permitted to make the mistakes I or you make, and he shouldn’t have bad judgment. That is why he has a cabinet of highly intellectual people to assist in the decisions made. As far as his personal life, I hold him accountable there as well. If a priest can be expected to achieve a higher standard of behavior his entire adult live, so than can a President for the terms he has been elected.

Bottom line is that it was bull$hit for that particular investigation to come about, I agree there. But when he came out and lied to the grand jury, it publicly proves how untrustworthy, and sinister a man he really was. Defend him you can’t…you just can’t!

Well saying that the weapons inspectors came out and said that Saddam actually had no such weapons, there for he hasn't been proven as a direct threat to the United States, therefor the war was a preemptive one for which lies were made, then Bush should hold your same contempt. Or are we just going to keep blaming his aids and department heads and so forth until we put another Colonel on the stands?

Odd, I am actually in an extremely good mood today, just wanted to f....... with ya know, ya know!!!!

In retort to the lack of WMD’s, I say so what? We should have cleaned house there the first time, the second time, the third time…we dropped bombs on Iraq so many times no one knows all of the times without extensive research. This time was different, sure we needed international support. When we didn’t get it, Bush turned to American support. It was unfortunate that the facts weren’t accurate enough, but my position on the whole thing is that it doesn’t matter. There was good enough reason for Bush, and the Congress to agree we needed to go in there. I don’t need to know the facts, I also don’t need the smoking gun. I know the leadership in Iraq plotted our doom countless times in the past, and it was time to put an end to all of that.

I’m actually in a great mood today too. Funny how that works out…

So when are we going to N Korea then?

Bigger threat, more weapons, bigger army, hell they held us to a standstill(only cause that pussy wouldn't let Mac go and push those bastards all the way back deep inside of China), a nuclear program, much much worse human rights violations, blah, blah, blah, blah

So why would the same mentality not go for clinton as well? He just didnt give the facts acurately enough?

Think of it this way, would you have wanted to talk about your sex life in front of your wife and the entire country? I can see where he would have felt a little under the gun. But then again, its not my business anyway. The only thing I concern myself with is if the country was ran in a satsfactory mannor, to which I say yes.
