    WAN Miniport ATV

    I know, I know. This is a dumb question. But can someone tell me what the heck a WAN Miniport ATV is and why I might have a dozen of them on my PC showing conflicts.

    Op Sys Win 98 2nd Edition (with all updates and service packs)
    Memory: 386 MB
    Computer: Dell Dimension XPS T700r
    Modem: U. S. Robotics 56k PCI internal
    ISP's: Earthlink & AOL

    A WAN is a wide area network - for instance, the internet. I assume you are running both the AOL and the Earthlink software?


    In your networking icon in control panel, what protocols do you have listed?
    Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
