    Quake 3

    Ok here is the situation.....

I have a friend who has two machines networked with a Linksys 4 port router, and he has Q3 set up and running nicely between them. We would like to set up a game where he has his two PC's running a Q3 game and I can join in from my house. What do we have to set up on the router so that I can gain access to his game in progress?? Thanks in advance!

if you want to join the game he is serving with in his network, and not serving the game in the internet, you can VPN to his machine if he is running 2k or xp.

You really just need to set up a port forward on the router and make sure no firewall on the server machine is interfering. List of port forwards here: Port Forwards
