Received today:
An issue has been discovered that affects all new installations of Windows® Small Business Server 2003 (standard and premium editions) installed after November 24, 2003.

The problem is due to an error in the way certain dynamic-link libraries (DLLs) are validated. Currently, the installation process incorrectly interprets some DLLs as invalid, when in fact they are valid.

Microsoft is currently working on a software update to Windows Small Business Server 2003 that will resolve this DLL issue. We expect to release the update in the next several days. In the meantime, SBS 2003 will continue to be available through authorized Microsoft OEM Distributors. Once the update is available, it will be slipstreamed into the existing SKUs. There will not be a part number change. If the timing changes for the update, we will notify you immediately with additional information.
