Pretty much, the admin/ircop/op structure is about the same and the regulars have stayed. The chat's purpose is still to help anyone that comes in and is willing to be helped. Close ties have been kept with WD as many of us still think of it as WDchat. Kedrin and Matridom volunteered the servers to keep the chat alive. Driverguy paid for a java frontend so visitors to Windrivers could still ask realtime questions of techs.

Not to mention, both before and after the switch, nobody had high hopes for you. Trolls are trolls.

Knocking people off and only letting them back on after you've finished playing with them.

Like I posted earlier, sycophant. Do yourself a favor and look the word up.

After 11pm or so when the flow of guests slows to a trickle, the chat regulars do unwind a bit. We joke around and have fun. In most situations when a guest logs in needing help, the guest is helped.

As for kicking people off and not letting them back in, there are good reasons. Namely kicking trolls before they can rack up enough offenses to earn a kline. Another is giving the troll enough time to cool down. We don't toy with guests that honestly need help. Any regular trying to abuse an undeserving guest would be dealt with in short order by the rest. It has happened in the past.

We honestly are a bit of a clique I suppose, but we don't exclude people for the hell of it. We seem to gain a new regulars that fit at about half the rate we discover new trolls unfortunately.

Pretty much, we've gone through a lot of trouble to keep the administative structure the same from the change over, there are a few exceptions that cannot be avoided. Those who have gained newer levels of access (only 2 people, me and kedrin) have strived to maintain to everyone who comes in and to other regulars, who is responsible for maintaining the room. Me and kedrin are responsible for keeping the servers running. Room access has, is and always will be giving by NooNoo and Ferrit, or whoever they dictate to successor them in admin-ship.
