I'm looking for a Win 98 driver for this modem. I found a few of them on driverguide.com but none worked. The modem would say port already open or it would not load the driver at all. I tried the standard 56k drivers, but no go.
I tested the modem by installing it in an XP machine. XP loaded a driver and I dialed up without error.
I would like a driver from 3Com's site but I couldn't find one.
Indeterminism. There's nothing you can do about it.

Sorry, I didn't specify, the modem is PCI. I'll post more details about it in the morning when I get my hands on it.

Sticker says Product: 3CP5699A
Back of PCB says U.S. Robotics Model 0766.
For some reason I can't find a driver.
