Using group policy to add a shortcut to all users desktop
Morning all,
I wondered if any one knew if it was possible to use a group policy to add a shortcut onto all users desktops when they logged on to the domain. Current setup is a Win2K domain using Active Directory to authenticate users. Failing that is there a command that can be entered into the netlogon share that will add a shortcut to desktops. Failing that is there any other way????
Any help is very much appreciated.

It is possible to install stuff using AD, but it has to be a .msi package.
I would just add a logon script (this can be forced with group policy)
copy /y \\server\share\shortcut.lnk %userprofile%\desktop
As long as everyone is running NT4 or newer you should have no problem.
