    1.8" HDD

    Wow.

    A customer bought a Sony TR2 laptop. It's a very cool subnotebook.

Unfortunately, it has been destroyed. (Long story.)

I have the HDD, but it's one of Toshiba's new 1.8" drives.

I have looked hard for a 1.8" to 2.5" or otherwise converter, but can't find one.

Does anyone know of a source for this? Or is this guy just... SOL?

    Any ideas welcome.

I haven't looked, but I'd try Worldspan computers, www.span.com they're UK-based, and a bit pricey, but very good.

Or if you could make your own, there's a chance of the relevant information being on http://www.technick.net
I'm in charge and I say we blow it up

after doing a bit more reading it seems that they are a pcmcia format and if you go to http://www.addonics.com/products/external_hdd/ and look at the bottom of their page they have a few 1.8" hd converter (external)
