usb wireless adaptor wont detect at boot
I have a customer that has a usb wireless adaptor (microsoft MN-510) on a laptop running XP Home at her house that is working and gets great signal strength, but every time the system is rebooted the adaptor shows up in the device manager under the USB catagory as a unknown USB device. Because it keeps showing up this way it acts like there is no wireless NIC there until you unplug and replug in the device then it seats it under the network adaptors as it should and the wireless network works fine. I need to find a fix for this to keep her from having to crawl under the desk and unplug/replug the adaptor everytime the system is restarted.
Any help will be welcome. Thanks in advance.
