    Question questions regarding microsoft back-up

We use the Veritas Software-version 5.0 to do a normal, daily back-up, to a 4mm. tape.
For the last 2 days, the system is asking for a second tape (looks like too much info for one). But nothing of great size has been added, and back-up details have not been changed?!?

Also- I get the following error message in every report on the back-up.

"Error: You do not have permission to access portions of C:\winnt\temp\LB2.tmp. Please see owner or administrator to get permission.

But per the back-up details, both owner (system) and administrator have full access to these files.......

Lastly, just reconfirm, I am able to delete all temp. files without any negative repercussions, right?

    Thanks!!

You may have to do this in safe mode: delete temp files that is. Yes, it's alright to do that as long as noone stores anything in the temp folder (which shouldn't be done anyway).
Is this a "full" backup? Why back up the files in temp anyway?
    What NOS is this?
    Have you checked for malware?
