    Red face DirectX Dll file missing

    Hi,
    I'm trying to install Sims game and it keeps saying that the directx dll file is missing and won't install it. I'm ready to give up

    Need alot more information please!

    Which sims game exactly?
    Which windows exactly?
    Which version of directx are you running exactly?

    Have you run dxdiag and run all the tests? (start, run, type in dxdiag click ok).

    Thanks for the help. I did the diag test and came back fine. I am trying to install the original sims game, I am running a windows me and the directx is 9.0b

    This is the error D:\DirectX\DSETUP.DLL I get this after about 60% of the game is loading then when I close it out I get a prompt saying Installing EREG Failed??
