InfraRed
I wasn't sure where to post this question, but it's for a box running XP, so I figured this was close.
I just got a new PDA. (Sony Clie) I'm looking for nifty ways to push it a little beyond it's capabilities and noticed that it has the ability to use IR.
My question is, how do I know if my computer has IR on it too? I can't find proof that I do have it through my device manager, but I can't seem to prove that I don't have it.
Is there a surefire way to know one way or the other, or is it a case of "If it doesn't show on your device manager, you don't have it."?

A good place to start is your motherboard manual.

There's usually a little "window" on the pc somewhere - like the front of a remote control.
IR is a pain on my laptop. If I forgert to disable it, it tries to install every printer I walk by.
