Ok guys, i've seen similar posts on here, hopefully you guys are smarter then i am.
2 seagate free agent terabyte hard drives
1 toshiba laptop
1 dell laptop

Plug one hdd in to either laptop, "usb device not recognized"
plug in the other hdd to either laptop and it works perfectly. Tired switching cables same thing one works perfectly. The one not working right powers up and spins just fine, not found in device manager, my computer or partition manager. What is my issue here?

Basically sounds like the PCB has failed or at least has problems on the one.


Bad connection maybe - if under warranty, RMA. If not, post again.

I would agree with CCT it sounds like the board for the free agent that doesnt detect is partially burnt
