    Unhappy I am running windows xp. When i use my microphone, it sounds like darth vador!!

    [FONT=Comic Sans MS][SIZE=5][COLOR=Magenta]HELP ME PLEASE! When i use my microphone it sounds liek darth vaor! I have tried to change my microphone properities and advanced conrtols but it will not let me! I have checked my sound card drivers and it says that bass and treble are not available to be changed! This problem is wuite annoying and ive tried and talked ot everyone !!! If anyone could help me i woudl dreatly appreciate it!!

    Likely the microphone isnt good quality or you are possibly to close ot your speakers

    Look for a "boost" setting in the microphone input line property and try to disable it (or just reduce the level on the input). If the microphone already gives enough signal, boosting it will make it sound as you say.

    darth vador

    I tried to change/remove the boost but it will not let me do so! i have also tried updating the sound card, but the site does not offer it. ARRG this is aggrivating!!! I dont know what else to do!!

    I am running a dell dimention 4600. Brand new!! soundmax digital audio, i believe that is my sound card and where do i find out the motherboard make and model? i am not good with computers
