They have been all over this here locally (she is from MN). It is definately a messed up deal. When her family had a Looooooong news conferance after they found her, it seemed fishy. The fact of the previous attack , and the way she left her dorm was not what would be considered normal behavior. The police now are saying that recent searches (last week) on her computer were done for wooded areas in Madison and the 5 day forcast.

Wow If this turns out to be a fake.... She is not going to be very popular.... Now Kidnap her after that and now one would even look for her... That would really suck to be her then !!!

I would be very surprised if she doesn't wind up facing charges and jail time herself for pulling a stunt like this. Not sure what laws she may have broken or what charges can be filed but I'm sure the local police are not happy with her and will try to hold her responsible in one way or another.
