    Welcome to Windrivers Mark!

Not getting anything for a 5100, can you check the model number?

Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I have an old diamond mx400 put away. It came with the drivers for 98. It had no drivers for XP but XP used some generic drivers and it worked.

If you need drivers for the mx400 for 98 then I can help you.

Your sound card is a Diamond Sonic Impact S100. Diamond has vanished and with it support for legacy products. Indications are that the card uses an ESS chipset, although information conflicts as to which one. Look at the card and write down the ESxxx or ES1xxx chip number. Alternatively, download the ESS PCI device identifier utility. Based on the &DEV_1xxx in the result.txt files you should be able to identify the chip. The drivers are available here.

As far as the US Robotics serial wave device, this is unrelated to your sound card. Your modem has has a wave device and requires a driver. Look to your modem drivers.
Probability factor of one to one...we have normality, I repeat we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.
