CD tray keeps coming out
Well, I've had this problem for a few months now... It doesn't ALWAYS do this, but sometimes it will eject without warning on its own. I've been able to live with it, up until now... I just got a printer/scanner that I've been looking forward to for a while now, and every time I try to install in the CD pops out and I'm unable to do so.
Thanks in advance!

would you happen to have a spare cd rom you could try in its place
this would help you decide which was at fault
is there any firmware available to update the cdrom??

Driver Terrier
Welcome to Windrivers Antisocial!
There are many reasons, faulty cdrom drive could be at the top of the list. Joke programs, trojans, viruses also can have this effect. Failing ide cables or mains spikes or dips can also have oddball consequences.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

sounds like a virus 2 me when does the cd pop ? as soon as you insert a cd ? if so probably the drive
if this is random then prob a virus
if this is at start of windows
a virus or a cd problem or a driver issue
