I can see pc's in my workgroup but can't access there resources

Hi, I have just tried to set up peer to peer networking and the problem that I am having is that I can see the other computer on my screen but can't access the files. I have tried pinging the computers from both terminals and that's ok. I am running on win 98se I have file and printer sharing for microsoft networks installed I also have the file and printer sharing check boxes ticked.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    thanks

    Welcome to Windrivers roundisland

Have you shared the drives or folders you want access to? Right click on the drive or folder and click sharing, now decide whether you want read only, read/write (full) or passworded. Name the share something meaningful - don't use spaces. Reboot the machines. If the machines don't appear in network neighbourhood, don't worry, this is normal for 9x.

In start run, or explorer address bar type

    \\nameofmachinetoaccess\sharenamegiven

    what do you get then?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
