    Question for the masses

Okay, so the moderators might want to keep an eye on this one. PLEASE guys lets keep this informative rather than argumentative. I genuinely want to know people's opinions to this... so it's not really something that CAN be right or wrong, as nobody can say what anyone's opinion is other than their own, right?

Of the above, which is the MOST offensive to you:
    Flash! Don't heckle the supervillain!

It used to be religion when I was younger, now it's by far and away politics, especially the politics of the last 4 years. You need an option for all of the above!

I'm not really offended by any of them, but I don't like religion as a general principal...so there you go.

    Other.

Assuming that trying to convince others with a particular viewpoint is a negative thing. That is how discussions are made, why debates exist, and how groups of any kind acquire, retain and expand membership.

Most, if not all, of these things are very difficult to discuss in public, as in theory for each point made a counterpoint should be offered, yet in practice it doesn't work out that way if more than 2 people are debating.

I tend to agree with Ya_Know on this one, I can't think of any subject that I find universally offensive. What will offend me is when people want to shove thier opinion down my throat unasked or when they want to freely discuss their thoughts but reject yours without consideration.
If it's true that wherever you go, there you are: how come so many people look lost?

this is so money! I get irritated because people can't the difference between professing belief and professing truth.

I have no problem if someone wants to tell me what they believe. . . . but I don't want to hear how their beliefs are right, and mine and everyone who doesn't agree with them are wrong.

For me its religion. I used to be a part of a religious cult many years ago called the Way Ministry. They promised me this and that and never delivered. They always had an answer for it saying "I didn't believe hard enough" or I "didn't study the Word enough" After two years I realized I'd been had and got out.

It reminded me years later of a friend of mine who inherited $5,000 and went to Vegas to bet on the Chargers for the Superbowl based on the advice of his fortune teller. I don't remember the other team off-hand but the other team won. When He got back and asked his fortune teller what happened, she replied that her 'medium' on the other side didn't like him gambling....

Always a correct answer, even if they're wrong. For me religious cults and fortune tellers use the same methods and achieve the same results...

    Its basically a con game...
