mapped drives come back after disconnection

I have drive J mapped to our server, as well as V, so I get rid of J, and every reboot it comes back, and then once, there's a (0) drive mapped to the same folder...I keep removing them, but they come back after a whiel, and after a reboot....any thoughts?

How did you remove the map?

    umm

I just hit 'disconnect', then an hour later, 2 more drives come back (same letter) to the same location..one of them (0) instead of drive letter.....so weird....I don't even reboot, they come back on their own.

Shortcuts to documents on those server shares can recreate the map, it's a nifty little trick from win2k and XP. If you are trying to remove the mapped drives, you may want to remove all MRU's (Most Recently Used) shortcuts, found in Recent folder in users profile...

    If that's even it.

Also, turning off the shares on the server will stop this cold.
