    Question USB camera download problem

Hi. This is my first post. I recently purchased a Concord 3340z digital camera. My computer at home is running windows 98 second edition. I followed directions on installing the mass usb drivers. Everything appeared to install correctly. The camera is supposed to show up as a removable disk drive (drive f) when conncected to the usb port. It gives no error message, but it does not show up at all. The usb ports work - I have 2 usb ports and use one for my printer and the second I use for another digital camera (which works. This camera, however, does not show up as an extra drive). I took my camera to my place of work, and it installed there fine. Therefore, nothing is wrong with my cable, camera or usb ports.

Is there any way in windows 98 to enable extra disk drives?

    Computer specs:
    Athlon 1100mhz
    ram: 512 mb
    USB: 2 ports
    Drives: d: dvd-rom and e: cdrw

Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.
    Smallfry

    Welcome to Windrivers SmallFry!

Have all the 98 windows updates been done?
Do you know which chipset your motherboard has?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

Thanks for replying. I have not done all the latest updates. I will try that. I do not know what chipset my motherboard uses. I may be able to get that off the manuals that came with my computer. I am not at my computer now, so I will have to wait until later to check.

    Thanks.

Just thought I would let everyone know I resolved this issue, sort of.... I never did get my computer to recognize my concord camera as a removable drive. What I did is I went to WalMart and bought a card reader! My computer recognizes the card reader just fine, and I am bypassing the camera hookup.

    Thanks.
