AMD on mobo sound wont work
I have an AMD K7VT2 mobo. The sound quit working and will not start, despite reinstalling drivers. Makes a popping sound in speakers. Have also tried different Speakers. Help Please...Soundless in The South

Its not an AMD but a ASRock Motherboard:

Try installing these hopefully newer drivers and see if it fixes it:

Did you re-install directx or maybe Media player?
Need more info on your software, Windows version, what are you trying to make sound play with etc...
It may be a hardware problem, does the sound work if you wiggle the connector?
