2 x novell networks over proxy
Hi
I have two netware5.1 networks in two diffrent locations and want to link them. I do not have money for Bodermanager. I have a proxy at bot end running win 2000 with proxy+. Can i do this or not?

No, you can't 'link' two Novell networks through a proxy.
If you can't afford Bordermanager (for site to site vpn) you could always try building a vpn using Linux or some other form of free software.

If both sites have a router, use those. I doubt it would work running through the proxy side of Windows though.
Used to work for a company that had 3 Novell servers, 2 on one site, 1 on the other. They all used to 'see' each other quite happily without Border Manager. Just need to set the routes/gateways correctly in the IP setup on the Novell servers, and on the routers.
Been a while since I did anything with Novell ( ), so can't remember that well....

Setting up the routing is trivial, but what if the connecting infrastructure is a public network, like the internet? I would strongly suggest to setup a tunnel first.

Which you can use the routers to do.
