    Post Creative AudioPCI (ES1371,ES1373) (WDM)

I also have a Creative AudioPCI (ES1371,ES1373) (WDM) and am running xp, and I am getting an error message (code 10) stating that the devices can not start.
The specs of my PC IS AS FOLLOWS
Motherboard : American Megatrends Inc. Bus Clock: 66 megahertz.
    Processor:1.30 gigahertz AMD Duron
    RAM: Slot 1 (512)MB
    Slot 2 (512)MB
Ive done a lot of research and realized I need a specific driver for my cpu.
I even went as far as going into "boot.ini"and clicked bootlog and disabled /fastdetect, then uninstalled the driver, restarted the system and installed it again, and still no luck,
So I would really really appreciate some info on what driver I can download that will enable this device to work properly...please,,..
Thank you so much. Also, 1 question, assuming I get this soundcard to work,,,is it possible to run 2 soundcards simutaniuosly? So both sets of speakers work through one audio file?, I want to be able to plug in 2 different sets speakers and use them at the same time. hence the reason why I am trying to get this sound card to work. If it is not possible please inform me,,,,Thank you and I apologize for such a long thread..

"Motherboard : American Megatrends Inc. Bus Clock: 66 megahertz."

    Nowhere near enough data.

Download and run Everest Home (it is free):

    http://www.filehippo.com/download_everest_home/

    http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html

    http://www.softpedia.com/progDownloa...oad-16369.html

Once you download it, click on it and let it install and then run it from the icon on your desktop. Click on file, preferences, report and uncheck the 'include debug information in the report' box. People rarely want to see that stuff.

Click on the + sign beside 'Computer', then on 'Summary', then go to the VERY Top of the screen and click on 'report'.

Note: the 'Very Top' isn't one line down, it means what it says.

Cursor over 'quick report-summary' and then click on 'plain text' and then click on 'save to file' and change the 'save in' folder to 'Desktop' and then click 'Save'.

Clear all your open windows and on the Desktop click on that 'report.txt' icon - this will open it in a text editor (probably Notepad) and then copy and paste it to here.

NOTE: DO NOT POST ALL THE DEBUG stuff - please read and follow the directions given.

Using powered speakers, you can simply drive both from the one soundcard using an adaptor:

    Since you now know the mobo is a PCChips M810LR, Google gets you;
http://pcchipsusa.com/support-driver.asp where you look for frivers for that mobo.

AMD cpu drivers are here -> http://support.amd.com/us/psearch/Pa...ad%20Processor BUT there don't appear to be any sound related ones.

    Any others you need?

You should find and read the manual for that mobo.

Many boards will automatically disable onboard sound if an add-on card is installed. Some, I take, won't or may need jumpers adjusted.

That splitter solution Platypus noted is the simple way to go to run multiple speakers in a simple format.
