    Help needed with router

Hi there. I am trying to assist elderly neighbors with setting up in-home network (blind leading the blind! lol) They have one computer running XP and one running ME. They have a Network Everywhere NRO41 cable router, but have misplaced all disks for everything. I have gone to Network Everywhere site and found where the files for drivers (?) should be but nothing comes up after following link. Just "this page cannot be found". Do I actually need a driver for this router? Or are the files just a set-up wizard to walk me through process? I have no clue how to do this but am usually able to muddle my way through. Any help would be much appreciated.

Try typing the IP 192.168.1.1 in the Internet Explorer Address bar.

If a page loads up asking for authentication, try "admin" without the quotes - either as both name and password, or just as password for a blank name.

I agree with ADEPT about the logon username and password. Chances are you don't need a driver for that router, but probably just need to set up a static IP and maybe the DNS of thier ISP. You will need to set sharing on both computers and printers if they want to share data between the two computers and disable the built in firewall on the XP machine and enable the guest account to allow the other computer to allow access to the XP machine. Not the most secure, but it's functional.

It's more secure and just as easy to setup duplicate accounts on each machine rather than use the guest account. Create the same users/passwords on each machine.
