Exchange 2003 OWA
Ok, here is the scoop. I have migrated an Exchange 5.5 server to Exchange 2003. All of that is working well.
I have OWA for Exchange 5.5 setup on a different server running IIS. It has been setup for quite some time and works fine.
The problem. I want to use the new OWA with Exchange 2003. Can I still run this through another IIS server or does it have to be on the Exchange server. I have read a ton of documents about the new OWA but can't seem to find anywhere about setting it up on another server. I know that it wasn't recommended for Exchange 2000 but wasn't sure about 2003.
If I go to the address of the new server http:\\servername\exchange\account name, I can use the new OWA in house.
Thanks for any insight!

Not too sure how it works outside of SBS 2003, but on the 2003 SBS boxes I have setup, on running the internet connection wizard you tell it you want to use OWA and it sets everything up ok, all I had to do then was direct port 443 traffic through the router to the SBS box and hey presto, all works....
Get someone to try externally by using https://mail.domain.dom/exchange/account name, remember to use https, as the http doesn't work.

That won't work for now, I have that address pointing at my IIS server that still has the old OWA software.
I am trying to find out if I can upgrade the settings on the current IIS server to direct traffic to the new Exchange server.
Thank you for replying.

I just can't find anywhere that suggests I can run it on a separate server like I could with 5.5.
I will take a look at this site again!
Thanks!
