    hello guys,

I bought the Audigy SE, at least thats what it is at the invoice, and when I installed it, it just showed the audioPCI (ES1371, ES1373)(WDM) at devices.
    Is it a FAKE card?
I tryed to install the creative driver for my sound card model SB0570 and the software says that could not find any creative card!!!!
Reading a lot at foruns someone said that I have to have the Microsoft auu HD audio installed, well that does not show at my list, but I have the SP3 installed...
    My machine is:
    Asus M2N4-SLI
    2Gb kingston RAM
    XFX 7600 video card
    on-board sound disable
    Audigy SE (I think)

    pls help.

Yes, that is my card, and I have download those files, and none of it worked.
When I start the installation it gets me this message:
"Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system. Please ensure that your product is properly installed before running this Setup program."
    And it ends.
that is my card, the model number on the card is SB0570...

Im very disapointed, and probably will return this back to the shop.

If there is no reaction from Windows when you put the card in and start the pc, then it's likely to be faulty. Was it properly boxed when you bought it? does it look like this?

    1 - I have disabled the on-board sound.
2- I have changed the PCI slot.

I did almost verything, but then some came up to my mind!!!!
I installed an creative LIVE 24 bits instead and BINGO, it was detected just as perfect, I even installed the audigy drivers, YES it worked like one, and more..... I downloaded the brazilian driver, I mean the creative driver for x-fi MODED by a Brazilian guy that change an AUDIGY into an X-FI.
Beatiful, it works and the sound is WAY BETTER!!!!

I will return the Audigy card back to the shop I guess that is a fake!!!

    Thx you guys anyway.

XP has built in drivers for this card. If it doesn't work, use the Windows 2000 drivers supplied by compaq here
