Windows 64 Bit XP Trial ...
OK,
So I just upgraded to an Athlon 64 setup. Love how it works on regular XP Pro. Also downloaded and installed (on a seperate partition) XP 64 Bit Eval.
Nothing wants to install on that system. I cant even get an Intel Pro100+ NIC to work using the 64 bit drivers.
Anyone played with this software?
If its not broke, then upgrade anyways!

Yes sir,
Last week I built an Athlon64 3200+ system and installed the WinXP 64bit Preview on it. Had some probs and they were;
1.) Not many drivers available as yet for XP64. Place I found to get drivers is... http://www.planetAMD64.com.
2.) Installed some games on it (MS FS 2004, Halo Trial) and they just wouldn't run properly.
3.) Had problems with svchost.exe using large amounts of CPU usage, and I couldn't fix it.
EndResult; Format and install Windows XP Pro (32bit). PC works great and is a screamer!!!
I will wait for a few months until there is more driver and software support, then install the 64bit again.
