Praktica DCZ 4 VR - download problems
I have just bought one of these digital cameras. I have installed the CD rom drivers and software. However, my pc is not recognising any drivers. Can anyone tell me where to get these from - or am I doing something wrong?
thanks

Welcome to Windrivers emmylou34
First of all, please tell us what windows version you are running
Then tell us the steps you took to install the drivers and the camera.
Please also explain what you mean by "not recognising"
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

Hi
I'm using w98se.
I installed the drivers and the software from the cd-rom and everything appeared to load properly - no error messages or anything. But I simply cannot get the pc to download the photos. All I get when I ask it to 'acquire' is my discdrive making noises then a message saying that it 'failed to connect to camera - restart program and try again'.

Cracked it! It appears that the camera is not recognised as a camera but rather an external discdrive! Of course!!
Thanks if anyone was racking theior brains!

Please stick to one thread grrrmeh, it makes it complex to keep track of what has / has not been suggested and tried. Try emylou's advice, but post the results in the thread you started. Thanks.
Emmylou, glad you found it does work.
