Need help with updates
A few days ago I was getting lots of IE errors (unknown and dll errors) when I would try to delete mail in yahoo or download from different sites, I tried to fix but nothing helped so I did a system restore. When I got back up and running I took the critical updates from the MS site, I was still getting errors and problems and the IE would shut down. I am running ME system with IE6 and I've just done another restore on my hard drive. Things are running smooth right now and I'm even able to log in to this forum without getting IE errors and my computer crashing. I have AVG virus protection and Zone Alarm. Do I need to take the MS updates? At this point, I don't know which direction to go

MS critical updates are needed, most definitely.
Have you tried doing just one update at a time rather than agreeing to the lot, then you will be able to see which is causing the problem.
It might also be an indication that not all is well with your system. You should do an online virus scan and spyware scan.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I haven't tried updating on at a time, but will try and see what happens. I've done the spyware (ad-aware scan) but no the onlive virus scan. Thanks for your help.
