    Welcome to Windrivers boss12345

What windows version? You may need an update for 48bit lba addressing.

also a bios update might be in order looking at the number of fixes and versions abit has !

If the opening question had said 137 gig & not 127, I'd have said almost certainly (that's the 'magic' number - see in the KB I quote a bit further on) & yes lets go checking for bios updates to make sure that's all ok, but its a sata ready board so I'd have expected it not to be bios but windows ..

So here's an 'appropriate link' How to enable 48-bit Logical Block Addressing support for ATAPI disk drives in Windows XP

SP1 for xp by default is supposed to turn this on for 'biglba', if its some other winndows version this all gets way more complex ..

In that case it appears your bios is the restricting factor here. Be warned that flashing your bios can lead to the motherboard being rendered inoperable.

If you already have sp1 installed, it should be enabled by default (according to the same kb article) so dont worry about trying to turn it on. Do like they said an make sure you have the most up to date BIOS. Even if it doesnt say it fixes any of the probles you are having right now, it is always good to update it so that you wont have any problems with installing other cards/memory/etc later on.
Also, have you tried formatting the drive NTFS?

My only real question to ask before you flash your bios, is what is your bios detecting your hard drive size at? If it is also seeing it at 127GB then it could be your bios. Another thing to check out is what it detects it w/ only the 200GB drive on as master on the primary IDE. Last thing to ask is why didn't you just get a SATA drive? Granted those cost $10 more than PATA but much nicer w/ air flow and speed(an 8MB buffer).
