    deleted soundcard driver

I think i've accidentally removed my soundcard driver :/

I removed some "soundmax" software and now my computer says I have no soundcard.

I did the Belard computer audit thing I saw in another post it told me this:

    MAIN CIRCUIT BOARD:
Board: ASUSTek Computer INC. A7V400-MX 1.03
    Bus Clock: 166 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD ASUS A7V400-MX ACPI BIOS Revision 1006 11/02/2004

    MULTIMEDIA:
    Standard Game Port
    Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device

any help on how to fix the problem would be great as I now have no sound whatsoever, cheers

    Here is your motherboard

If you click download near the top left of the page you will get all the drivers. Click the +next to audio and download the driver for your operating system.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I successfully downloaded the driver OMGmissinglink gave me

however when i click on sound and audio devices from the control panel it tells me that i have none.

On a brighter note the yellow exclamation mark has been removed from the sound controller icon in device manager

That's a 'zip' file so it has to be unzipped then executed.

Download the zip file to a folder you create on your desktop )call it AsusAudio).

Then click on the file and select 'expand' (assuming you have an unzipper program).

When it asks where to unzip it, tell it that same folder.

Once unzipped, select 'open folder' and find the .exe or install program and run it.

    Reboot.
