Question Shared folder attribute show read only

    Hi

Anyone could suggest how to change the shared folder default read only attribute. I tried almost all options but its not changing from read only option. I did the workaround from Microsoft still not.

    HELP PLS.............

    Welcome to Windrivers discovery

You don't make the folder read only, you set the permissions on the users of the folder to read only by removing fullcontrol rights and write rights. You will find the user permissions by right clicking the folder and selecting the security tab. Depending what the folder is, you may have to also kill inherited permissions too.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
