Cannot install modem drivers manually on WinME
I have a zoltrix modem in Windows Millenium. I have had lots of problems installing the current drivers. The problem is, Windows millenum detects the plug & play modem as generic HSP56, and refuse to upgrade the drivers, as the "optimal drivers are already installed" (at least WinME says so).
The drivers readme.txt only says to wait for win9x to ask for the drivers, something that Win ME "smartly" eschews. I have tried many times deleting the drivers and trying to install the new ones... but WinME immediately recognizes the plug & play... argh!
I need to install the proper drivers to identify the modem as Zoltrix. I cannot install the software bundled with the modem, if it is not recognized as Zoltrix modem.
So, could anyone help me to install the drivers?
