PCMCIA Firewire freezes my Compaq laptop
I recently bought a Texas Instrument Firewaire PCMCIA cardbus for my Compaq Evo N1015v laptop in an attempt to increase the write speed of my DVD burner. The device manager recognises the PCMCIA card correctly but XP does not pick up the correct name for my burner and worse when I put a blank DVD disc into the DVD burner then it freezes my laptop.
Specs:
* Compaq Evo N1015v laptop
* Swann PCMCA Firewire Cardbus
* External enclosure with USB 2.0 and Firewire ports which houses my LiteOn DVD burner 8x.
NB. I did have a USB 2 PCMCIA card that was able to work perfectly with my DVD burner.
Appreciate if anyone can help me out!
