Cool punkinhead!!!
We'll make a full fledged tech of you yet.
The Virus Bulletin 100% awards recognize those products best able to detect viruses known to be 'in the wild'. Unlike some other similar-sounding schemes, Virus Bulletin uses the most up-to-date WildList in its tests. This means that products that are 'up with the game' are the the ones most likely to be granted VB 100% awards.

Yep, I saw that too. But here you can get daily updates since the Sept 2003 closure.

However you're right. Eventually its going to go the same way as Dr. Solomon's after aquisition by McAfee.

Its a shame too. I tried the online scan last night. It got five undetected trojans.

Yeah, but this is interesting in a different way. Why would MS be acquiring an AV company and their product, especially considering their supposed new found emphasis on security? Hmmmm:
Watch out Norton and McAfee.

I wouldn't be surprised they started including a "lite" version of a AV product in the OS . . . much like the lite version of roxio that is included in XP. and the internet firewall.

and if they do it I'm sure folks will be up in arms, but personally I like that several of these kinds of features find their way into the OS, I may not use them and choose third party apps instead but it's nice for family and friends who are far from tech savy.

I'm thinking the same thing. They had Central Point AV included in Dos, but then allowed all the av companies to get real big through the Windows versions by not including one. Now XP includes a very good defrag, finally. This should be very interesting to say the least.
