    Exclamation ALI M5271 PCMCI firewire and USB2.0 combo card

    Please help me out. My laptop hangs while installing driver for USB2.0. I have XPsp2 installed. Firewire is working perfectly

    First of all which laptop make and model?

    You may need to update your bios, chipset and cardbus drivers first.
    Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

    I have Dell Inspiron 2650 rest I have to see. I tried my card on other laptops also installed with XP professional. there also same problem persists

    You have got the same problem showing up on other machines? That would imply a fault with the card itself.
