    Angry

I have exactly the same problem as Baracuda, (except for the part about appearing as 2 drives), i installed a LITE ON SOHW 1213S DVD writer. It apperas a D:/ in explorer

When I place a blnk DVD in the drive and try to view it, I get the error message shown below

    D:/not accessible incorrect function.
I'm using XP home edition with SP2

I have managed to burn 4 DVD's in the past. 3 using Clone DVD and 1 using Nero 6. But recently something has changed but I dont know what, I havent upgraded anything or installed anything prior to this problem.

I have however since upgraded Nero 6, and the DVD writer firmware but still the same problem.

I can read DVD'd and CD's that have information already on them.

I've been looking on the internet at this problem and found that its widespread, across many different writers, both CD & DVD, some systems have Nero installed, some with Norton installed, but nothing in common.

I'm guessing its a setup problem in my case ??????

    My writer is brand new.

    Any suggestions would be great

    Thanks
    Matt
