Having AVG auto-scan files from Instant messenger
I would like to know if you anyone has the correct syntax to put in Yahoo IM so that AVG will auto scan a received file. I know the sytax for NAV, but I want to use AVG since Nav has become a big resource hog. Thanks for any help.

I don't think you need any switches, just browse to the correct .exe file "C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG6\Avgse.exe"
I don't really use IM programs, but that path works for my Download Accelerator when it completes, AVG scans and reports.
Hope that helps

Tried that, all it does is come up with the a box that says that it scanned and it is okay. (even though I know there is a virus in it because it found it if I did a scan on it normally)
