SiS 7001 PCI to USB Open Host Controller Does not work!!
I installed USB port which WIn 98 detected as
" SiS 7001 PCI to USB Open Host Controller "
But USB ports do not work, device like digital camera is not recognized at all
My computer is old AMD K6 3D Now on 350 MHz
any suggestions?

Welcome to WinDrivers ferdaus98. Can you tell us the make and model of your motherboard, or the make and model of your computer? It sounds like you need the chipset drivers. Or is this an add-in usb card? If so, make and model for that.

Mother Board Mnfr Hsing Tech Enterprise:
BIOS Info = 51-0814
AMI BIOS ROM size 128Kb
AMI BIOS Build Tag 001_10_Chipset
BIOS Build date = 071595
Chipset BIOS info =570
The above is the data retrieved by a dignostic software.

You appear to have a PCCHips M590, which uses the SiS 5591 chipset. SiS does not appear to have chipset drivers, only ide and agp. Take a look at this page: http://www.usbman.com/Guides/SiS%20U...d%20Tricks.htm Apparently there are known issues with USB on SiS chipsets. Follow the instructions halfway down the page to update the SiS driver to the Standard Open HCL USB Host Controller. There are links to some patches as well.
