Exclamation How do I get rid of a computer virus without spending any money?

I used sign-stop scan to scan my computer: a program that I downloaded off the internet.

However Stop-scan wants me to join their membership and pay money for it to get rid of the viruses and spyware that it found. I scanned with my norton antivirus, but it didn't find anything because I stopped paying their subscription fee each month.

I would like very much to either download something off the internet that would get rid of the following viruses or spyware below or a last resort how to manually remove them myself, which would probably take a long time.

the viruses and spyware found on my computer by Stop-sign scan are the following:

    Virus Scan Details:
    c:\progra~1\save\save.exe is infected with Trojan.Whenu
    C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\WZRV2K9H\fame[1].htm:JavaScript.2 is infected with Trojan.Seeker.150
    C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\{FFCBE500-32DE-11D7-9B93-AC348AE85F6C}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\Inbox.dbx:application.pif - Tue, 20 Apr 2004 14:06:58 -0700 - Re: Your software is infected with Win32.HLLM.Netsky.based
C:\Program Files\Norton SystemWorks\Norton Utilities\RegTrk\00010001.SAV may be infected, because it matches the pattern of BATCH.Virus
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\updater\sui.exe is infected with Trojan.DownLoader.161
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\updater\delupdat.exe is infected with Trojan.DownLoader.162
    C:\Program Files\STC\STC.exe is infected with Trojan.Sectho
    C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\install026.exe is infected with Trojan.Sectho
    C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\WZRV2K9H\hp2[1].htm:Script.0 is infected with Exploit.MhtRedir

    http://www.grisoft.com

Click on the Free Version on the lower left portion of the screen.
This will not, however, get rid of Bonzi Buddy and gator.
Go to Download.com, and get Spybot Search & Destroy ver1.3

    Good luck.

I pay good money for my AV program.

You have a ton of malware, and some of them are pretty bad ones. Go here and follow all recommendations, and then come back with a HiJack This log:

I think the question that really needs to be answered is how in the world anyone could possibly acquire so many virii and malicious software? This never ceases to amaze me, considering we're in the 'information age'.

maybe this has something to do with it..
although I thought Norton fees were once a year?

See, atleast if MS's free built in AV was present on his pc, he would have something to fall back on, rather than depend on Norton.

I've never seen so much mal-ware on one computer! (not counting tracking cookies, Ad-Aware champions)

My %diety%, man! Get yourself a virus scan and adware killer. I think AVG virusscan is free (free updates, as well) and both Spybot and Ad-Aware are free for personal use.

Stop-Sign is spyware itself , another wonderful product from those eAnthology people. You may have been infected (note deliberate use of the word "infected") by installing Kazaa or similar.
    A few links:

And just to show I'm not biased, here's eAnthology's own mealy-mouthed, snivelling, weasel worded, fork-tongued, obfuscating, product_of_anal_sex_between_a_lawyer_and_a_ politician

    defence

(Can I be sued for speaking my mind here, I wonder?)
I think I know just enough to know how much I don't know... I think...

    Free virus scan/clean

Spybot and Adaware will clean up 99% of spyware, adware, and malware, www.cexx.org is a good source of information on these "exploitive" apps.
You can also get a good free virus scan at http://www.housecall.antivirus.com (trendmicro)
and www.pspl.com (proland) is another good virus information site and free scanner, along with the better known www.symantec.com and www.mcafee.com. I personally believe you can't be too protected these days....
