    Closer Yet to Teleportation

    Gene Roddenberry would be proud.

In a step toward making ultra-powerful computers, scientists have transferred physical characteristics between atoms by using a phenomenon so bizarre that even Albert Einstein called it spooky.

Such "quantum teleportation" of characteristics had been demonstrated before between beams of light.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. -Douglas Adams

If that's all they have, it will be quite a while before I let them try it on ME!
If only you knew what's inside of me now,
You wouldn't want to know me, somehow.

With the current technology and amount of atoms in the average human it would take 3000 years to teleport a whole one of us!

Maybe I'll give it a miss for now!

Yeah, I don't know. With my luck, some messed up sh!t from the movie "The Fly" would end up happening. THAT is exactly why I would never try it. I don't need to go in one side and pop out somewhere else and find out that I've been mutated along with someone/thing else.

Notice how they were always having to go someplace to get something? Why couldn't they just punch it up in the replicator and make it?

Indeed, everyone knows you can only teleport if you've got the mutant power to do so, like Kurt Wagner.
