    kt7a-raid USB pin layout

I am trying to get the front usb connectors on a case connecting to a kt7a-raid mobo. Does anyone know the correct layout. I have looked everywhere. I have a 1 vcc 1+, 1- and a 1 ground
    also a 2 vcc 2+, 2-, and 2 ground

The pinout looks like this (excuse the crudeness of this)

    * * * * *
    * * * *

so from left to right top to bottom this is how I have it setup

    2 vcc 2- 2+ 2ground
    1 vcc 1- 1+ 1ground

I have also tried it the other way. and switched the - with the + both ways. please help.

It should be listed in MB manual. Is it not?
Also, what case do you have? That could be the problem.

Are the leads from the case marked? Sometimes, when they are not, or marked wrong, you almost have to guess. Yeah, it's sad...but if it's a "cheap" generic case: you do get what you pay for. I have dealt with ones where the the case leads are bad, and there is nothing you can do about it.
Sorry, but that may be the "case".
And, what do you mean that the pinout connections are not listed in the manual? What is this: PCCHips?

    Yeah they are marked.

    as follows
    1vcc
    2vcc
    1-d
    2-d
    1+d
    2+d
    1 ground
    2 ground

Well considering I got it for free I do get what I pay for

    Nope not a Pc-Chips its a Abit kt7a-raid

Have you checked the Abit website for the "detailed" mb layout?

Have you taken a look at Paul's Unofficial KT7A-RAID FAQ?

What's the pinout on the USB connector?

The pin out on the USB connector is as follows:

    Ground PIN 2,4,6,7,8,10,14,15,16
    VCC PIN 1,9
    P0- PIN 3
    P0+ PIN 5
    P1- PIN 11
    PI+ PIN 13

Scan of the manual for mine:

Shows pin 1 as being botton right, when viewed from inside edge of board.

If you need any other pages, drop me a pm [/QUOTE]

Edit: Top picture is actually for the KT7A, not the RAID, but it's the same - only difference being addition IDE's are not shown
