1st off i would like to say that its my g/f's pc and she aint chuffed!

Anyways,

We just upgraded from XP Home to XP Pro and Home was pre-installed, everything went smoothly and then certain things was missing, it cannot find off the XP Pro cd the drivers for the Multimedia Audio Controller, i took the side of the pc away and it has no name on the soundcard so i don't know who makes it, but how can i get the driver so i can get sound back on?

The Pc we have is an eMachines 380 and their site is american and does not have any details on this pc. The other thing that is missing is the SM Bus Controller again i dont know what company is responsible for that, I have searched high and low for these 2 drivers and had no luck, just posts on forums like this show up.

The ACTUAL errors showing when you view the properties of each are the same and thats:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

Hope someone can help, I know that this is a common problem.

Cheers

Steve
