    College late fees?

    I just found through friends that the college I'm going at charges late fees of the same amount per month as the normal course period (course is $1,300/month, each month late is $1,300 in fees with 1 free late month).

    I was NEVER informed of this, shouldn't it have been mentioned? Can they make me pay a fee I was never told about at all, and don't recall seeing in any papers I signed?

    Have you asked the college directly and if it is found to be correct made a formal complaint?

    If it's in the fine print you're probably gonna have to pony it up and pay...isn't that great! You might be able to bypass it if you plead your case but it all depends on the people you're dealing with truthfully...good luck on that!

    I'm not talking about late payments, I'm talking about taking longer than the given 12 months to finish the courses. My friend and other also are late.

    They gave you 12 months.

    I had no idea I was late until the 12 months came and I still had a book to do, I guess I should ahve asked the teacher if i was late, it would have been the only way to know before the 12 months.

    BTW, I have a few credit cards and never paid late, I never put anything on it unless I already have the money.
