    IE favorites disappearing in XP

Last night I know I saved about 4 favorites and after I rebooted today they were gone, along with some other ones I know I saved about a week ago. I only have one profile on there, so I don't think it's a problem with them being on a different profile. Does anyone know how to get my favorites back and also what is causing them to just disappear when my computer reboots? Also, it's not a problem with all my favorites, because there are some there that are not disappearing.

favourites not saving like this can indicate a corrupt profile.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I'll try to delete and reinstall my profile and will post if it works or not.

    Thanks
