power dvd
been using power dvd last 2 years no problem .
but for some unnown reason it will no longer play my dvds i get a error message saying esdi driver or aspi manager not compatible (error code 80900015).it says this may have been caused if ive added a scsi device .the only thing have added recently is a external modem. could this have caused it and if so how do i fix it ???

Try the following - these fix most PowerDVD problems I have seen:
Check the status of your ASPI drivers:
ftp://ftp.adaptec.com/software_pc/aspi/aspichk.exe
If needed, download the latest ASPI driver from Adaptec
ftp://ftp.adaptec.com/software_pc/aspi/aspi_v472.exe
Might want to see this page for ASPI information:
http://www.ncf.carleton.ca/~aa571/aspi.htm
Make sure DirectX9.0c is installed
Try reinstalling PowerDVD.
